FAQs

Why Is Autoclave Validation Important?

Validation is a mandatory annual requirement under Australian Standards and State Health Regulations. As the owner or operator of an autoclave, it is your legal responsibility to ensure your equipment consistently performs to manufacturer specifications. Validation confirms your steriliser’s effectiveness and safeguards your patients, staff, and business.

How Often Is Validation Required?

  • At installation of a new autoclave
  • At least every 12 months thereafter
  • Every 6 months for high-use or older units

We’ll advise you on your unit’s ideal servicing schedule based on its age, cycle count, and workload.

What’s Involved in the Validation Process?

Our comprehensive validation service includes:

  • Full calibration and chamber profiling
  • Rigorous testing under load conditions
  • Confirming your autoclave can sterilise the most challenging loads in your practice
  • Issuance of certification documents for your records and compliance audits

Dental United Group is committed to keeping your sterilisation equipment reliable, compliant, and operating at peak performance - so your practice can stay focused on patient care.
